Socialground Communities Terms of Service
Last updated: October 4, 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms are an agreement between you and Socialground Co., Ltd., a company registered in Thailand (registration number 0105563044920, registered address 29/20 Kanchanapisek Road, Thap Chang, Saphan Sung, Bangkok 10250, Thailand). "We", "us" and "our" mean Socialground. "You" means anyone who visits our websites or joins one of our communities.
Socialground runs paid membership communities that meet in WhatsApp groups. Each community, such as The Village, has its own website, membership plans and community guidelines. Some communities are free to join. The Socialground Communities community on this site is one of them: it has no membership plans, no checkout and takes no payments, so sections 4 and 5 and the payment parts of section 15 do not apply to it. These terms apply to this site (www.socialground.co) and to every community we run, alongside the terms, plan details and guidelines posted on each community's own site. If a community's own page conflicts with these terms, the community's page applies to that community.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms. By creating an account, joining a community, or using our websites, you accept these terms.
2. What we provide
A membership gives you access to a community's WhatsApp groups and to the member features on its website, such as member benefits and events, as described on that community's site. Groups are managed by an automated WhatsApp account (our bot), which adds you to the groups your membership includes and removes you when your membership ends.
WhatsApp is run by Meta Platforms, Inc., not by us. We are not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta. To take part you need your own WhatsApp account, and WhatsApp's terms, including its minimum age, apply to your use of it.
3. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract where you live. In Thailand, if you are under 20 you need your parent's or guardian's consent to join.
- Some communities are open only to certain people, as described on their site. You confirm that what you tell us about yourself when you join is true.
- You sign in to a community's website with the method it offers, such as Google. Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- One membership is for one person. Do not share your access or your group invite links.
4. Membership, billing and renewal
- Memberships are paid subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly depending on the plan you choose. Prices are shown on each community's site. Payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe.
- Some plans start with a free trial. Its length is shown when you join. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription starts and you are charged.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, and you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method until you cancel.
- Any tax we are required to charge is included in the price shown at checkout.
- We may change membership prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and a new price applies from your next renewal after the notice period, never to a period you have already paid for.
- If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it and we will contact you by email. While a payment is overdue we may remove you from paid groups until it is made, and if it stays unpaid we may end your membership.
5. Cancellation and refunds
- You can cancel at any time from your member dashboard or by contacting the community. You will not be charged again.
- Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that, you are removed from paid groups, unless the community offers a free area you can stay in.
- Seven-day cancellation right. Whether or not the law where you live requires it, you may cancel within seven days of your first payment for a full refund. Tell us in writing, email is fine, within that period and we will refund the payment within fifteen days of your notice. This applies to the first payment on a membership, not to later renewals, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
- Apart from that, payments are not refundable. We do not refund or credit partial periods, including when you cancel mid-period or when your access is ended for breaking these terms or the community guidelines.
- If we close a community. If we close a community for reasons other than your breach, we will give you notice and refund the unused part of any period you have prepaid.
- If you think you were charged in error, contact us and we will investigate and correct any billing error.
6. Community rules
Each community has its own guidelines, and you agree to follow them. In every community you must:
- treat other members with respect;
- keep what members share inside the community, and never share another member's personal information, messages or photos outside it without their permission;
- not share invite links or paid content with non-members;
- not post spam, unsolicited advertising or self-promotion unless the community allows it;
- not post content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or that infringes anyone's rights; and
- not use the groups to collect members' contact details for marketing or any purpose members did not agree to.
Moderation. Messages in our groups are checked by an automated system that flags possible breaches of the guidelines for review by a person. We do not take moderation action based on the automated check alone.
What we may do. If you break these terms or the guidelines, we may warn you, mute or remove you from groups, suspend your membership, or end it, depending on how serious the breach is. For serious or repeated breaches we may act without a warning. Ending a membership for a breach does not entitle you to a refund.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting in a community, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display and share it within that community, and to use it to run and moderate the community. We will not use your posts, name or photos in our marketing without asking you first. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to share what you post.
8. Member recommendations are not professional advice
Members share opinions and experiences, including recommendations for doctors, schools, products and services. We do not check or endorse them. We do not provide medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, and you rely on anything shared in a community at your own risk.
9. Partner benefits and events
Some communities offer discounts or benefits from partner businesses, and events. Partners are responsible for their own products and services, and their terms apply. We may change or end a benefit or cancel an event; if we cancel an event you paid us for separately, we will refund that payment.
10. Our intellectual property
Our websites, community names, logos and content belong to Socialground or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute them without our written permission.
11. Availability
We rely on WhatsApp and other providers to run our communities. We do not promise that the groups, the bot or the websites will always be available or error free. If WhatsApp restricts our bot or a group, we will work to restore access but cannot guarantee how long that takes.
12. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill.
- We are not liable for what other members post or do, or for the products, services or advice of partners or anyone recommended in a community.
- Our total liability for all claims relating to our communities is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. Ending your membership or account
You can cancel your membership at any time (section 5) and ask us to delete your data, from your member dashboard where the community offers it or by email, as the Privacy Policy describes. We may end your membership or account if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we close a community (section 5 says when a refund applies).
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date. For significant changes we will tell members by email or in the community's announcements channel at least 30 days before they take effect, unless a change is required by law. If you keep your membership after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you do not, you can cancel.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, either side may bring the dispute before the courts of Thailand; for us, that means the courts in Bangkok. Nothing here takes away any right you have under Thai consumer law to bring or defend a case in the court the law gives you. Card payment disputes are handled under Stripe's and the card network's rules.
16. General
- If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
- You may not transfer your membership. We may transfer these terms as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business.
- These terms are written in English. If we publish a translation, the English version prevails.
